soaring away
from all things tangible
on wings of a bird
we fly together
embraced by beauty
our hearts merge
as we sing forever
love which envelops all
but our eyes will never see

restless nights

i notice the moonlight
shining on my bed
a restless night
thoughts racing thru my head

not worries or fears
just illusions, fantasies, dreams
sometimes close to tears
my spirit worn at the seams

i’m tired
yet my brain so awake
peace, stillness so desired
lullabies for my own sake

please…let me feel the connection
light filling my soul
calming the constant reflections
that i may awaken once again feeling whole
